COMMUNITY ACTIVITES THAT MIC DEVELOPED
MISS VEEDOL FESTIVAL SINCE SEPTEMBER 1987- To commemorate the First Trans-Pacific Non-Stop Flight of an aircraft, Miss Veedol between Misawa, Japan and Wenatchee, Washington, USA on 4 October 1931.
JAPAN DAY SINCE MARCH 1988- To provide the American community with an opportunity to experience Hands-on Japanese Culture at Edgren High School, Misawa Air Base, Japan.
WELCOME AMERICAN CLUB (WAC) SINCE AUGUST 1988.- To make the American community feel [a warm welcome] this club was organized and [American Patrons are Welcome Here] stickers were placed on the Misawa stores.
AMERICAN DAY SINCE MAY 1989- To provide the Japanese Community with an opportunity to experience Hands-on American Culture at the Misawa Civic Center area.
