MIC PROFILE

The Misawa International Club (MIC) started in the summer of 1987 by a select group of Japanese citizens from Misawa City who were interested in enhancing relations between the citizens of Misawa City and the Americans stationed at Misawa Air Base.

Some Japanese members were prior directors of the Misawa Junior Chamber of Commerce and were responsible for the development of the annual Misawa International Festival which was first held in Misawa-City, Japan in the summer of 1979.
